Gary,

VERY helpful, thanks much!

I don't have the benefit of the Win98 manual, and this being a friend's system I did less research than if it were my own.

I like the sound of your set-up. Which flat-panels did you go with, and how much? I have been looking at the SGI flats ($2000, and down the road).

For myself at home (trading station), I just picked up a Matrox Productiva G100 4-port card and four Viewsonic PS-790s, which I will run on NT.

I refuse to put-up with 95/98.

Here at work I have an ATI All-in-Wonder Pro AGP which I hope to multi with an Xpert, on NT via ATI software (I know I saw this on ATI site when I conceived of this system).

As a follow up to my post a friend / reseller informed me the Diamond cards are notorious troublemakers on the multi-monitor issue. And, I come to find (in a diamond FAQ), that two V330s (PCI) can't be multied together on 95/98 at all, but come with proprietary Diamond multi software for NT!

Oi-Vay!

Anyway, onward.

Thanks again for the good info, and will keep advised if I find the PCI/AGP white elephant.

Gary,

I am currently running an ATI AIW AGP along with 3 ATI PCI cards in a 4-monitor Win98 Multiple Monitor configuration. I don't understand your AGP/PCI problems. Was one of the cards a multiple-monitor from one card vidcard?

Paul

EDIT: is the problem related to mixing flat-panel video adapters with the more usual CRT-type adapters?
