I did not realize until today that Bay Networks (now Nortel Networks)along with Netscape and Sun was one of the original investors in At Home.

Welcome to the party, wogger.

I sure am liking my T today too ... gonna be interesting to see what happens when T becomes identified as the ultimate internut.

Fellow is here now hooking an Orckit ADSL box on my home hub. External splitter outside. Voice and data lines on one number.
768k/768k for $80 month ... almost T1 for about 1/10th typical T1
pricing. Unknown how well it will be supported by the upstream bits and pieces.

My partner across town is getting the same setup to the same ISP, so our "office loop" will be pretty minimal.

We'll be bringing up an NT server with our business document tree, source code server, etc, etc ... maybe run Netmeeting full-time in the background.

Pretty clear example of how ADSL currently whips up on existing cablemodems for SOHO applications.

Let's not forget that their are lots of us out there that don't really give a hoot about portals, rich content, and various other marketing dodges. We've got business to do.
