Pat, OT...RE: Your post about satellites and Y2K

I think there will be a few that have some bugs...but not the newer birds IMO. From what my satellite people tell me, most of the birds up there have a set life span of say 5-10-or 20 years(you know this...your from geekville like me GG) and if they keep working past that then great. I have heard that MANY birds are still ticking well past their expected life but I forget all the details. I know some guys on the DISH thread will be up on this topic...I'll bounce if off them, no pun intended!!
