For the millions of people suffering various
CNS diseases, this is undoubtedly good news.
For relatively undifferentiated masses of fetal
cells that would be otherwise thrown out, the
news means nothing. For people who for personal
religious or ethical reasons for protesting...well,
I do not want to get into that...I don't have a
degree in theology and the debate would be better
served on a separate thread. I should think that
people who are not in favor of such research
should be sure to stay away from using any cure for
Parkinson's or MS or whatever comes of the research
in the future...they should not invest in the
companies involved of course and they should pray
for the cells. If you have a strong opinion on this
Scott set up a thread for the debate and I will
join you there.
