TED, I read it the same way. I did find a release under IBM. Will
go look to post. I read that press several times and came away still
feeling good. I think IBM wants HIE structure. Larry

LOL! You have no clue Ted! Wrongo! What do you think happens whan an IBM sales rep is out at United Airlines selling MQ and United Airlines needs a bunch of engines? Whose engine does United end up with? IBM's engine of choice-Cloverleaf, whether IBM makes the sale or the call HDIE in to do the paperwork. either way, IBM made the "sale" for HDIE.

Re: endorsing two products: The differences between these products aren't very clear on paper, but I would categorize Cloverleaf as the low to mid-level product and OM3 as the more advanced or high end product. The acquisition of OM3 through hublink is the main reason for the difference. They probably won't change any of this due to name recognition, but which solution is used depends on the problem being solved.

Former IBM friend involved in MQSeries solutions told me this evening that IBM has been regretting the NEON deal. He implied that it was mainly because they were hard to work with (both with customers and IBM) but I can't get any more than this out of him. So does anyone else have any similar tidbits? I am also wondering if anyone knows specifics of the NEON deal as far as length and exclusivity?
