Reminds me of a story I once heard:

Once upon a time, there was a little sparrow who hated to fly south for the winter. He dreaded the thought of leaving so much that he decided this year he would delay his journey to the last possible minute. After bidding a fond farewell to all his sparrow friends, he went back to his nest and stayed there for an additional two weeks.

Finally, the weather turned so bitterly cold that he could no longer delay. As the little sparrow took off and started to fly south it began to rain. In a short time ice began to form on his wings. He flew bravely on, but the ice got thicker and thicker. Finally, almost dead from the cold and exhaustion, he fell to earth in a barnyard. As he was breathing what he thought to be his last breath, a cow wandered out of the barn and walked toward the fallen bird. The cow proceeded to cover the little sparrow with manure. At first the sparrow thought the end was at hand, but the manure started to sink into his feathers and warm him, life began to return to his little body. He also found that he had room to breathe. Suddenly, the little sparrow was so happy he started to sing.

At this moment, a large cat came into the barnyard. Upon hearing the chirping of the little bird, the cat walked over to the pile of manure. The cat began digging away to find out where the sound was coming from. As he removed more and more manure, he finally found the little sparrow and ate him.

This story has three morals:

First, everybody who $hits on you is not your enemy.

Second, everybody who takes $hit off you is not your friend.

Finally, when you are warm and comfortable in a pile of $hit, keep your mouth shut!

Robert...

Hi Doug and all, I have removed the IPM Bookmark but thought I would stop by and see what if anything was going on during this sleepless night. Doug, you know enough about me and I know enough about many of the IPM supporters and detractors that I can say with great confidence that no one here should question Eldon Slife's desire for the merger to go through.

I hope all is well with everyone. I have finally been able to scrape together enough money to open an on-line trading account. Thanks in part to companies such as IPM,IDID and IMPX I have changed my market philosophy. Sure I could have doubled my money on any one of these stocks but I never knew when the getting was good or who to believe. So I have decided to leave the investing to the fund managers and will simply be trading in hopes of rebuilding my account.

Due to the very limited funds and time I am only able to watch a couple stocks at a time. So if anyone ever has any good stock tips out there please feel free to drop me an E-mail, however, I refuse to deal with penny stocks. So far I have been doing well. Hopefully with any luck it will continue.

I think the chart is looking good for IOM to make another couple point gain here in the next week or two and if it does I will take my profits and move on to the next stock.

I hope everything is well with everyone here.

best regards,
Chuck
