Do your research and pick the right bank. For example, people in the Boston area that have their money in Bank Boston should do just fine.

And Brazil was definitely not going to further devalue........... and the U.K. was never going to leave the ERM...........and so on..........and so on..........

BTW, there is some excellent film of the U.K. Chancellor insisting that the U.K. will defend the pound no matter what. That was the night before they devalued the following morning. It's even better viewing if you've read George Soros' account of the event. Don't forget: politicians do sometimes tell a lie.
