From what I have been told and have read, you cannot put stop-loss orders on NASDAQ stocks. Firms that allow this have proprietary systems that hold the stop-loss orders in-house until the stock reaches that price. The orders are then released to the exchange.

You can't place stop-loss orders through day trading firms where your order are placed through ECNs either.
