Do you think that the announcement of a settlement or arbitration is going to be "soon"? I know nothing is written in stone, but I'm curious how long you think we might have to wait.
... of course nobody should hold you to that guess as you are just an
individual investor like the rest of us....

My impression is that something positive from the BC Gov has to be soon!! Todays paper has an article indicating alot ofthe BC mines are shutting down. In the same article a woman is quoted as saying, there are no more mines comming on stream to replace the "depleted or uneconomical" mines because of the governments inactivity and policies concerning park land. She has also stated that mining exploration in BC has ground to a complete halt. Couple all this with the fact that the Vancouver exchange has 90% of the exploratory companies in Canada, and you will have a very volatile "BC Mining Show" if something isn't done quickly.

Now in saying that, the government has already passed the "way ahead" paper, which also deals with compensation. My bet is that if the Miners of the world see "less than fair" compensation given to existing claims...they will walk "en masse" out of BC with no reason to return!

So, to be seen to "cheat" the existing claimants will likely have a backlash the government can't afford. My "bet" is we will get what we are asking, just for that reason!!

I have been wrong before, and in all likelihood, may be wrong again...although I doubt it!!!<ggg>
