I always like to work with analogies because if you can visualize a thing its alot easier to understand. So lets try beaches. If you go to a sand beach take a shovel full of material, count the number of grains etc then when you take another shovel full you have a fairly good idea of the grains it will contain if it is an all sand beach.
Now you go to a beach which is mostly sand but has some pebbles and small stones mixed in. One shovel full will give you data but it is alot harder to predict what the next shovel full will contain.
If you go to a beach with sand, pebbles rocks and boulders. The problem gets even trickier because you could take alot of shovel fulls before you hit a boulder.
A drill core is a small scoop of material, a shovel full was the mini bulk sample. A front end loader will be the bulk sample but you may have to take several of those before you hit a boulder.
So think of a beach with sand, pebbles, rocks and a few big boulders and you will get an idea of size distribution.
A sand beach which is all sand is alot easier to predict then a beach of mixed sizes.

Hi Walt...These large stones should not bother people too much.
This play so far is telling me that the possibility is
(good - great - and could be exceptional) vs let's say Ashton @
(poor - fair - and could be good)!!

Now what if those 3x2,000 samples were............
