I hate to throw water on this hostile takeover rumor, but..........It is my understanding that ALYD's CEO (can't remember his name) owns the majority of this company's stock (i.e., greater than 50% of the outstanding shares). Therefore, there can not be a hostile takeover unless the CEO wants to participate. In effect, he has controlling interest in ALYD ,and as such, another firm, individual, etc. can not take controlling ownership of the company - hostile, friendly or otherwise.

That is an artical from May 98, and it is when Sean Kelly was telling everyone ALYD will hit $45 by end of 98. So i don't think that is why we are seeing this rise.
BTW: there is some shake shake shake is going on on low volume. I see this as a good chance to buy.
