I have started Papertrading without level 2,but just looking at free realtime. I found that medium priced stocks (15 to 25) that have gone up 1.5 to 2 points tend to pullback a bit during the lunchtime hour and if you get in during the pullback you can make a cool 1/4th to 1/2 of a point on it most of the time. The key here is patience.
4 of these daytrades in a week can make you over a 1000 dollars easily.
The key with these momentum stocks is not to get greedy and not to look back if it goes up more.
Total discipline and no emotions will separate you from the herd.
I traded cdnw twice on thursday and made a 1/2 on the first trade and a 1/4 on the second one and this was on a down marketday without level 2. I will keep on trying this method to test the accuracy of it.
