Madness, pure madness: this talk of MSFT acquiring YHOO...

The simple reason? Why bother? MSFT can REPLICATE everything YHOO brings to the dance for next to nothing, so why pay $20 bil or whatever it would take to keep YHOO "stockholders" (what a euphemism for people who "own" the company on average for 15 minutes) happy. MSFT despite its legal problems is a company with real value, a virtual monopoly, no pun intended, and Gates & co. know better than to (a) buy something that will make their case with the feds even more problematic and (b) spend REAL money and/ or stock (unlike ATHOME)to acquire a company that is fundamentally worthless...

Okay... so I exaggerate. Tim Koogle runs a neat little company; one that's a great buy at 10, an okay buy at 30, and a stretch at 50...

Bulls: fasten your seat belts. We've got a long way to go....
