John:
The darned "consensus" is so quietly and efficiently shifted to exactly a penny or two below what the company will report, that it is a fast-moving target as earnings draw near. (g) I've plenty of anecdotal poop to suggest that Michael Dell has been doing the right thing. I expect a disappointment. They sell to business and business is closing up their cheque books. My son's hamster can see the slowdown at this point and he's not even very good at arithmetic yet. (g)

Best, Earlie

john, dell has an extreme slop factor. they may have used some up last q, however, i suspect they have some buffalo nickels left over. they will hit the street numbers but possibly miss the whisper. at nearly a 90 pe, that could be worth a 30% dip... if they miss estimates then katie bar the door...

where is the dell tout-a-thon?
