. if the military wanted to they could have said something. i didn't see too many people from DoD complaining about SDI funding, or about all the MX funding, or for that matter the B1. Look, in the case of the B-1, Parts came from all 50 states. Pure pork. Congress just this year bought some c-130's that the military didn't ask for... Why don't we complain. Simple, civilian control over the military. We don't go on strike, we don't whimper when someone sends us to the desert for 8 months at a time. We have chosen to serve our country, and that entails a little pain and suffering. We've lost 15% in wages since the 70's so we're sure not in it for money. It's not the military who decides how money is spent, we simply reccomend to your elected officials and they make the decisions. then we do the best we can, because FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION, and complaining about our bosses is just not something that is done.
