The big deal is that since the monitor and graphic accelerator are sold as a package, #9 is going to sell more high-end product going forward. The press release wasn't kidding when it stated that the monitor is making reviewers drool. Yeah its expensive, but we've seen that cutting edge computer users are willing to pay the high prices charged.

#9 had been relegated to one of the many companies that was going to be driven out of business by ATI/3Dfx/Nvidia/S3 but now they have revealed a niche. Whether they can protect it is entirely a different matter.

Not sure what you reffer to, but don't see those 3000$ (if i recall) to be the next big seller.
