Mark,
I endorse your comments on Bob Riopel. I like Bob, and think he, as well as we, were victimized by a confluence of unusual circumstances. i.e. High R & D expenses to get ready for Intel's delayed 64 bit Merced, (really a latent asset now that doesn't show up on the balance sheet, but should pay dividends in the not too distant future), insider selling by the management of acquired companies, weakness in the Asian market and with Asian electronics companies, and slower than expected acceptance of USB. I always found him straight forward with me and believe that Tim's pop-shots directed at Bob were, most times, unfair. Hopefully his replacement will bring some freash and positive new ideas to PTEC.

Mark, your pick of SBSE looks interesting, but it would have been nice to tell us about the company yesterday, before it went the 4 points it did this morning. I fear that you will be victimized by the latent period that will exist between now and Feb. 3, when the contest begins. Last year my two picks ALTR and INTC were up some 10 points between the time I submitted those names and Feb. 3. 98 when the contest began.
Regards,
Jules

SBSE is accepted. It bounced nicely off the 200 day MA.

I agree that Bob needs to try again with a smaller company. I hope the remaining management doesn't share the RIDICULOUS notion that their stock price problems are based on analyst relations. Jules was a part of the analyst establishment and I still see him shaking his head even though he really likes Bob and Jack. Let's be fair but REAL.

It's good to see my "wife" Helen posting here again. She and Mark McCoy are legends in their own minds.

You sold me. I just bought 1000 shares of SBSE at 20 1/8. Now make it go up. Maybe Bob Riopel took his PTEC money and put it into SBSE too?
