Re

ASLMF's current backlog

The backlog may be down to 51 units, but the market is forward looking enough (6-9 months) that all that is needed is for a higher stock price is the perception of improving backlog 6-9 months out. That is why we've gone from 6-22 in three months. As long is conditions continue to improve our stock price will continue up. Most people expect a rapid semi equip pickup when the improvement actually begins. Consequently, as that happens, the stock price should increase commensurately.

Also re ASMLF, interesting post on the MU thread.

Message 7415268

Did you see the latest from ASLM? They stated Samsung and Hyundai are buying a lot of the new /5000 DUV steppers while Micron is "slowly" upgrading (in Italy). Wonder about the rumor that the Korean's had no money for upgrades.

Nice to see that Samsung is now shipping 1 million parts per month and that Hyundai's cycle time, in Korea is <45 days. Looks like by June of 99 Hyundai will increase shipments by 100% with their new generation of die; fully loaded fabs in Korean (both 6& 7) and it will be in Eugene by March 1.Competion is getting fierce.
