With all due respect for the people who would like to use this thread to complain about E*Trade's service, there is another thread for that activity: Subject 9823

This thread, as I understand it, is set up to discuss EGRP's stock. No offense meant to anyone here, but speaking for myself--at least--I'd just as soon not wade through a long litany of people's problems with their on-line brokers. This is starting to remind me of the Yahoo Board...

Jma,

Did E*Trade cause any problems in your "Account Balance" or "Unrealized Gains & Losses" after your oversold of 1000 shares of EGRP? My oversell of 300 shares of EGRP is still haunting me. My account still shows that I own the 300 shares I bought back the next day after the oversell. My account balance now shows a margin, market value - short and a loan available amount.

In fact, a few days later I bought more shares, and when I placed a limit sell at a higher price, E*Trade's computer wanted to know if I wanted to sell the 300 shares I bought back to cover the oversell. As much as I love this company, I still have a lot to learn. italiana
