From Intel's (I don't mean an Intel employee) perspective, that makes perfectly good sense. But from the consumers perspective, it isn't very cool.

Tenchusatsu, if I can throw in my 2¢ worth here, the PC world is changing so fast that if one waited for the best of breed PC, which would remain that for quite a while, one would never buy a PC. Also, if it hasn't been mentioned yet, the new chips come out at a price premium relative to what they are replacing, so you do pay more for them, at least initially.

I also find it hard to believe that some (should have addressed this to Cirrus) find a way to complain about new products innovation and introduction. Maybe the preferred mode for them would be, like, Model T only for 10 years, then Model A.
