>>But hopefully, at some point of time in the future (hopefully not too far away), CKFR will become a leader for people who are excited about the possibilities of internet and E-commerce.

CheckFree IS the leader.

>>Still long with CKFR...never sold a share even when it was in a panic.

I love the company, but treat the stock like a, well,......just have to separate emotion from practicality here. After last August, I don't have any trouble trading this one like any other stock. I have a core position, but I also have on many occasions now, trading shares that I pick up and let go like any other stock.

>>>The deciding factors for this to be real will be the growth rate (adaption rate of e bill and e banking) and potential earnings power.

That's actually my worry. I thought that is a sign that people treat CKFR as a second tier internet stock, so when the leaders fall, they turn to the laggard.

Laggards usually start their run when leaders run out of steam, when they are approaching the top on the way up. When leaders get trashed, laggards get trashed in sympathy too.
When you watch Internet group falling down five days in a row, and CF steadily running up during the same five days, you don't put CF in the group of Internet stocks.
This is a "plumber" stock (as per Jubak). JMHO
