Now I've seen it all.. "Quayle Plans To Launch Candidacy Next Week By Ceci Connolly Washington Post Staff Writer Friday, January 22, 1999; Page A14 Former vice president Dan Quayle announced last night he intends to open his presidential campaign next week. "I want to be president," Quayle said on CNN's "Larry King Live." "I love proving people wrong, and I'm going to do it again." This guy's the Peter Principal incarnate. Quayle can't even understand the speeches others write for him, let alone understand them after they're delivered. This is a perfect example of how low politics have fallen due to the bickering over Clinton's escapades. He "loves proving people wrong." A worthy toenote in history.
