RT,

If you put it that way then I suggest you pack your bags and your high power telescopic long range rifle and buy a plane ticket to the Bay area because there ain't gonna be a partner come next Thursday.

Maybe its better to spread out the good news.....a profitable Q4 along with a clean balance sheet report next Thursday and the domestic partnership announcement later this quarter. There are also other "positives" that can be released along the course of Q1 1999.

RT,

I'll try to be an optimist for a change:

Here is what we can look forward to in 1999 beginning with next Thursday's cc:

1)A profitable Q4 1999 (at least 3 cents a share).
2)A positive forward looking statement including reassurances that a partner will soon be signed within a "reasonable" time span.
3)Proof to the analysts that Vivus' restructuring moves now allows it to operate in the black.
4)Information on progressing R&D including Alibra, gene therapy, incontinence and premature ejaculation.
5)Information explaining how Vivus is informing the PCP in the interim while they don't have a domestic partner.

Later in Q1:

1)Positive information regarding Astra/Zenica's MUSE launchings in the EU countries.
2)News relating to milestone payments as MUSE gets individual approvals in Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.
3)More bad surrounding Viagra safety issues. a domestic class action is IMO long overdue.

In the course of 1999:

1)Profitable quarters throughout with a FY 1999 earnings exceeding current expectations by at least 100% and probably by 200%
2)More developments on the R&D front.
3)Domestic scipts rebound back to preViagra levels.

It will all happen. Give it at least another month or two.

RT and all share holders.......

I strongly suggest that we at least send an e-mail to the SOB telling him that if he doesn't have a partner to announce at the cc (he won't) that we as share holders feel that at the very least he had better provide a good and thorough explanation as to what is going on concerning this matter and that he gives us all a final dead line as to when we can expect this idiot to get his head out of his ass and sign up a partner.

Make no mistake....I want him out regardless of anything he accomplishes in the future. He is any investor's worst nightmare. He has single handedly nearly destroyed this company with his mismanagement. I will gladly start the movement to get new board members voted for and then get rid of Wilson if I think we have the needed support. We have 1.4 million shares now from individuals and we would also need to contact and garner the support from the top institutional investors. We would have until May's share holder's meeting to execute such a plan. That's only 4 months away--a lot of things can change in the mean time.
