re gross margins. i think you are right, they should go up. we use 40% for calculations because cfo gave us that as a planning figure last year.

RE margins, they won't increase if they are flying engineers all over the world in order to provide support for the upcoming ramp- that was what Tate meant when he talked about "increased spending for the RDRAM ramp".

Margins of 40% will not arrive until '01, IMHO.
