I just spoke with PROG's CTO, John Broderick. He's a rather approachable guy. John said a few things of note, and I did not press him hard for any information outside of what he can. I've done that in the past and people often just b.s. anyway.

1. PROG is showing increased revenue off their new site. They have not publicly talked about that yet, because they want more numbers in place to back this up, a bit more time. But they're happy about it.

2. They are now selling hardware. Their model is one like Dell's, where their customers will receive drop shipments direct. This means no warehousing/inventory costs to PROG. (My notes on this is that it could most definately assist their future growth. New updated web site; a bevy of new products to sell. These new products are in line with what they do so it's not a case of deworsification/diversification.)

3. I told him about this web site. He has never visited it, but he's heard of SI.

4. I told him that there are whisper numbers ranging from $.30 to $.36. When I said "$.36", he audibly made a noise that indictated he did not like that. He wanted to know how such whisper numbers could be generated. (My guess is that they are in the range of $.28 - $.30, with $.30 being possible, but no shoe-in.)

As long as they hit their estimate, which I believe is $.28, that's damn good. Their path for growth is painfully obvious. I feel very good about owning this stock in this current buy range. -Kelly

Zeev,

Haven't seen any discussion about a possible buyout of PROG on this thread. Who could be the possible suitors? AMZN, YHOO.....
With such a tiny market cap I don't think that PROG can defend a takeover bid even if they want to go solo.

Long and holding.

<<I wonder where the "bazooka man" is now a day>>

Zeev, I'm afraid the "bazooka man" got lost in the desert and can't find his way out. Kind of sad watching those threads.
