Daniel,

In defense of the "Starr Inquisition",
there was only one thing that the Whitehouse
did not know the answer to because they
were debriefed every day by their lawyers
who were present for the entire Grand
Jury testimony. Of course, you know that
I am talking about the test on the dress.
Are you aware that Ken Starr called the
Whitehouse before Clinton's Grand Jury
testimony and told them that the DNA was
a match? I think it really shows the
level of integrity of Ken Starr. He
explained that what he wanted to do was
get the President to tell the truth. He
could have leaked "No Match" to the media
and then caught old Bubba in a lie but he
did not. If only the Whitehouse had the
same level of integrity of Ken Starr.

Anyhow, I hear that Robert Byrd (D-WV) is
trying to end the trial with some back door
deal. I hope he suceeds...you can count
me as a Republican that feels that it would
probably be better to let Clinton serve
out his term rather than continue trying to
convict a guy who is simply too slick for
even the best Prosecutors.

ps I do enjoy the tenacity with which you
and Michelle and Lorrie defend Clinton. I
only wish Republicans had that kind of support
within their ranks but ya know, the Republican
party is and always has been, a loose assortment
of people of very different viewpoints and
that just does not make for a very strong party.
