With apologies to JAmes Carville:

Response from Rockville PD today...

"Mr. Lucas-
According to our police department, the information is false in this
article. As far as I know, there is no paper called the Mont. County Ledger.
There is an article in the Washington Post today about the hoax. Hope this
helps you.

Now Gaugie. I actually have to admire LRR's dogged persistence in the face of continuing (and I mean continuing) adversity.

I just realized that I have an e-mail from LRR dated 5/29/97, basically saying what a good stock it is (after we were back and forth about it on the threads back in that dim and distant past). I looked at a two-year chart, and since that time, the poor fellow has had to endure five, count'em, five of those sickening beeeeeg downhill sawtooth edges we all know and revile, this one being only the latest.

A True Believer Gaugie. A consummate rarity in this day and age of five minute day traders. I'd forthwith doff my chapeau if I happened to be chapeau'd.
