Ben: Historically, is the Max-Pain Point as accurate in months in which there is an earnings announcement, or months after an earnings announcement as in other months.

Ben,
Read your notation on the LEAPS distorting Max Pain for last month when I checked your site for Jan expiration. I think CPQ closed above Max Pain several times last year. Any thoughts on that?

The Feb'99 Max-Pain Point&#153 for CPQ is $45. The current price is $47 1/4.

Based on today's (1/27/99) CBOE data, I recalculated the Feb'99 Max-Pain Points&#153 and I updated the Max-Pain&#153 Option Analysis Study graphs.
