John,

You state "Whoever posted this is trying to damage the company.". That does not clarify whether or not the resolution is real. Does such a resolution really exist?

Nope. Sungold had a contract with an unrecognized group. Once the band was officially recognized, it acquired legal status and the previous contract was invalid and was to be renegotiated. What color is the sky where you live?

John,

As usual, I enjoy your positive posts and my posting was predicated on the truth of the posting (on profile, it's listed as 'GunLake' and membership 'brand new').

Over the years, I've seen the Management, in between their lack of communication with investors, go from one cesspool to another. Some of it was sheer foolishness and some I simply don't know. I truly hope that the post is a 'plant' but it was well written. If it is true, we have major problems and this is not panic (that disappeared about 2 years ago) but the way it may probably unfold.

In any case, given the allegations, an immediate response from the Company is required. The Band (if it is them) pulled no punches and the accusations are serious to anyone caring about their personal integrity and reputation.

The Forum is open - and don't worry about 'hurting' the Company. If this news is genuine, our opponents have probably got the consortium rolling for B.C. (assuming that is on reasonably solid ground). Korea was always years away and that made many positive assumptions, not the least of which was the Band deal. I hear the flushing but so far we're just circling the bowl. And yes, it will be a major hit on a personal basis.

As always, watching for news on Donald Harris and such like.

Regards to us all,

R.W.

To all Sungold shareholders,
I am not a member of SI but have asked my friend LD to post this for
me. This is a very strange turn of events for us but we need to look
at some things. (by the way, the band IS NOT A TRIBE YET!)
1. Why was this posted on Friday evening at 7:00 by someone who just
joined SI today?

2. If it is legitimate, why would the Gun Lake Band be concerned about us shareholders? As well, it is not professional to be posting this on a chat line. Where was the news release or press conference? Did Barrick try to take over Argentina Gold by posting the offer on SI
first? This does not make sense.

3. I have spoken twice to the company, and they were not aware of this situation at all. They have been negotiating in good faith with the tribe as late as January. This does not jibe with the statement that the band had terminated all business relationships effective Nov 30/98.
Why negotiate in Dec and Jan if that statement was true?

4. The statement, "the agreement is unenforceable as it was never
approved by the Chareman of the National Indian Gaming Commission" is
OF NO RELEVANCE here because the National Indian Gaming Commission only deal with federally recognized tribes. Our deal was with the Gun Lake Band, who is not a tribe yet.

5. The post stated the Band "had been forced to seek other sources of
financial assistance". Are we to believe that Sungold has been
supporting the band for FOUR AND A HALF YEARS and then decided on
October 30/98 to stop? Just as the band was on the brink of being
recognized???????

It is of MY opinion that this is a ploy to get us shareholders to force management into accepting a lesser deal with the tribe. I believe the company when they told me that they were unaware of any of this. While I'm sure Kim Hart will not be responding to this on SI, I am certain that there will be a press release soon addressing this.
