EC,

I'll try and respond but this is my last post so please forgive me
if I miss something.

1) Economic quantities of Ni are from the olivine not the gneiss
2) Ni is not crustal, unless we include re-mobilization as a mode of genesis
2) Depth studies are academic and sulfur isotopes are frequently inconclusive. I am not sure about the "squishy-ite" as a depth indicator.
4) Gabbro...mantle derive....is there crustal gabbro?
5) Cinder cones....pyrite are we heading towards a VMS discussion???
6) Outgassing.... vents... radial... metastable?????????????????????

RE: William of Ockham...........I don't see the "simple theory" in your monologue
BUT
our loose comparisons to other deposits (VB, Nor, Sud. etc.) is the rational exploration attempt to explain unknown with the known.
BUT
it seems we have now transgressed logic to compare it with EVERYTHING "known" (used very loosely):-)

Thanks for the read, gotta rest my eyes.

Regards

P.S. Red I can't find that reference to the location maybe it was on this thread?
