Guardian,
Interesting article on wireless access to AOL, especially the company's comment about its "AOL Anywhere" project. It's been widely reported (a WSJ article comes to mind) that AOL is scrambling as fast as it can to respond to the bandwidth problem--cable modems, xDSL, wireless.

I'm still mulling over the impact on AOL of the rumored ATT sale of its ISP business to @HOME. Sort of gives @HOME a disincentive to let AOL hitchhike on its cable modems since @HOME is starting to look like a tiny AOL..
Best,
--Steve

Practically every transmission of data, picture, voice etc will all be WIRELESS in 20 years. Cable will be go the way of the telephone pole. Anyone thinking otherwise about cable is BLIND. The research in laser communications will solve any bandwidth problem. The revolution has already started in Europe. YOU DON'T START LAYING CABLE IN PLACES LIKE NEW GUINEA, AFRICA etc. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
