Len: Macaroni Grill

I live in MN and have never heard of it. We have Chili's around the cities area and maybe elsewhere. May be good for a long hold, eh? I looked at Applebee's this summer, never bought and it was changing menus...again. I guess something as simple as that can affect the stock price of a food service.

You made me hungry...time to eat.

Len,

Macarone Grill has been around for 7/8 years down here (Houston) It's a creation of Phil Romano's. He also created Fuddruckers and Eatzi's. Eatzi's is an experience. As far as I know they only have them in Dallas, Houston and NYC. Ever get the chance check it out.Romano went to work for Brinker as head of creative food? On the Border is a Mexican restaurant Brinker bought about 2/3 years ago after the founders were killed in plane crash. Don't know how they are doing with it as they closed one here in Houston. I would not consider Macaroni's a "turnaround" unless there is something I am not aware of. I have one within walking distance and they are always packed. Brinker is a good operator but I think we have more restaurants then we need now. IMO. I think there are better places to put money for growth.

We do need them for places to go to talk about stock and eat and drink.

Len: Yes, I am interested in anything you can find on the restaurants. I personally am following APPB and LTUS, I especially like LTUS. They just opened a "Sweet Tomatoes" (sp?). They also have the Soup Plantation chain. It is a healthy deluxe salad bar, soup bar and pasta bar. Great food, relatively cheap, healthy and always busy.

Announced a stock buy back a couple months back. You may be able to do a search on LTUS and see if I did an earlier DD on it.
