Mr.Fun, below you will find some ref.to Ericsson AXE platform,which right now involves cellular network.The purpose of this contract is connect ERICE mobile network with ATM, IP and IP/ATM.This contract is NOT negative for NN!!!.NN has also lots of join projects with ERICY about which we will hear in the near future. BT not only will continue to grow its network on NN platform, but BT-ATT join project will adopt NN platform.NN is also shipping to BT its access switches. Regards Zbyslaw ericsson.se

Mr.Fun, from BT home page: "This investment is over and above the £800 million expenditure BT announced last May, which is being used to extend significantly the reach of BT's core Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) optical fibre transmission network and exploit Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology. It forms part of BT's annual investment of approximately £2 billion on network improvements and overall expansion." As you know NN has won contract, which according to press in UK was worth 300 mil in UK currency, in UK.It was in fall 1997! Last may(1998) was an article about Siemens-NN allience receiving another contract which was not publicized and was most likely part of expenditure announced last may. I think most peaople do not realized how strong is NN position in BT not mentioned C&W (1998 spirng announcment which called for overall 220 mil UK and fall contract-huge portion of 1bil$ push to Europe) Zbyslaw
