Okay I'm game!

Anyhow he's starting to figure out that release and said that some of the things you're bringing up are totally backbone-specific.
Yes H.323 is specific to the LAN/Internet. However H.324 is POTS/ISDN specific. Both use G.723 voice compression. To provide a seamless interface from POTS to LAN/Internet I would presume you would select this mode of voice compression.

He also wanted to ask you if you understood what TCP/IP protocol stacks were and if they all had to be the same?
Yes I do but I haven't worked with IP for years. The answer is the same as with any protocol they have to be backward compatible. (i.e the protocol stacks are the same in that they have to support certain features). You can delete some functionality (such as SNMP) and still run a TCP/IP connection. Is that what he means?

If he wins any money tomorrow I'm going to be sure to he holds some back and gets his membership to SI so he can post over here as opposed to just reading the thread.
I hope he picks his horses better than his stocks. What am I saying RACE is up 16 fold from its lows. If he picks a 16-1 winner he will do as well.
