if you follow the discussion where i am responding to, there is talk of positive sum game and zero sum game. i disagree with both. somebody always buys at the top and loses money. if you are lucky enough to sell at the top, you make less because of commission. what the poker game illustrates is what happens at the brokerage, they are draining money off the table ala the bachelor. granted it won't be at such a rapid rate as illustrated, but if you made less than the actual move in price because of commission and somebody lost more because of commission, how can it be a zero or positive sum game?
