I think the U.S. rankings remain the same however:

Ultralife
Valence
Lithium Technology

Lithium technology is beginning to close some serious ground on Valence. I did consider moving them along side Valence and will move them above if they can get their financing. A strategic alliance between a liquid and illiquid competitors is not unlikely.

Thanks Gvander for your follow up article link from the EE Times of Jan 25th. I've used this childish image before but it really seems to me that the Godzilla soon to rise out of Tokyo harbor is wearing the Valence "V" logo.

Check out the 12/08 EE times article by Hara
which quotes matsushita as saying they will not
be in volume production for at least 6 mo to 1
year following initial production in April. See
link below.

Now the same author reports completely contradictory
story. These EE times reporters don't seem to do their
job very well either. At least i would have expected some
explaination as to how Matsushita's situation could have
changed 180 % degrees in 45 days.

Either they lied to Yoshiko Hara in December or they
are lying now. One of their statements has to be false.
Hara san just regurgitates whatever BS they give her...
