Thread, as promised, here is the current status of
Spots's dream machines (sweet spot machines?<G>).

The following is all on order or has arrived at
the prices stated. Most of it is from Minotaur
except as noted. Oop, just noticed an error;
the BT930 kit is $79, not $70, a typo. True,
Dave, these are bidding at $36 right now at
onsale.com (not new), but hell with it. As I said, not
the cheapest possible. I still may substitute
a $2 Ensonic for SB/live <gg>. And maybe not.

These are almost complete systems, missing only
keyboard & mouse (nits), OSs (half-nits), monitors
(big deals, but I'm using existing ones).
Heavy muscle for the price. This month <ggg>.

Peripheral prices are not as good as possible,
but sooner or later you gotta stop fiddling and
do it. Top part of list below for each system
is from Minotaur.

Prices include shipping but not tax. A little
misleading because I am about 8 miles from Minotaur
as the crow flies or 10 miles if the crow has to
drive a car so as to haul PCs back home, so I
don't have to pay shipping for the major part.

I could never have put this together without all the
input from this thread, for which I thank everyone.

Since Dave's sp4 is problem free I'll give a shot also.

Dan had a problem with SP4. I don't recall what it was. It was mentioned in one of his recent posts.
