wallstreetreporter,

As a general rule, and speaking strictly for myself, if a company has paid for the publicity, I discount the validity of the entire article.

As to how much an IR/PR shop has been compensated, I would say that in a company with a large, freely-traded float, the amount of compensation is likely insignificant or not as significant when compared to an OTC-BB stock with a rather small float, and whose stock price could be manipulated by unscrupulous individuals that pump and dump. So my answer is affirmative, that the amount of compensation is clearly necessary.

Disclaimer: Let me clearly state that although this post appears on this thread in response to your post, in no way am I implying that my statement should reflect on this particular company (Veronex). The statement is generalized regarding the OTC-BB as a whole, and not intended to be directed specifically towards this issue.
