I don't know, but it's certainly a fascinating question.

It seems to me that EBAY is a trend setter. They are doing it online right now. Sotheby's isn't. Christies isn't. So EBAY is an important company to follow.

I think an argument could be made that EBAY is more important to watch, vis a' vis Sotheby's online potential, than is whatever Christies may or may not do in the way of a news announcement, as has been the topic of recent conversation on this thread.

On the other hand, an argument could be made that EBAY's earnings have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with either Sotheby's or Christies. And for many reasons.

So I don't know. What do you think?
