Positive article on 3COM mentioned in latest edition of Barron's.

.Analyst has set a target price of $65 within next eleven months.
. Sees inventory acquired from purchase of U.S Robotics as almost depleted and sales of palmtops exceeding wildest expectations.

$65 represents almost a $20 gain from current levels or approx. 50%.

3COM in my opinion is one technology company that will not disappoint investors. I would not be surprised to see it merge with a larger company...such as Siemens which was mentioned in the Barron's article as one of #COMS strongest partners.

Facts:
Lucent bought Ascend Comm. for $20 billion
Northern Telecom bought Bay Networks for $10 billion
Ciscom is big enough (market cap exceed $100 billion)

That leaves Newbridge Networks and 3COM as lone survivors.

Possible suitors include: Siemens.
