From various magazines and articles, such as "NetworkWorld", "InternetWeek" and etc. I forget which articles though. But I am pretty sure FCC will reach a decision by the mid February. Most likely FCC will approve it exactly like AT&T wanted. Then we will see an explosive growth of @Home stock. However, in the unlikely case that FCC needs to attach strings to the deal, in the worst case AT&T call off the merger, @Home will be severely affected for the worse. However, the chance of that happening is very small. In a recent article in Network Wold, FCC chairman William Kennard said the pending T/TCI combination is one of the first mergers that seems to comply with the spirit of telecom reform of 96. Meaning that T/TCI will be able to compete with Baby bells with their last mile access monopoly. William Kennard is very positive about the merger. So I don't think he will attach any strings to spoil the deal.

However, it ain't over until it's over. We will see.
