When I was ten, I used to play solitaire for hours. The stakes were high--I gave myself 50.00 to start with, then I got five dollars a card. If I lost, a member of my family was sacrificed. (I always started with my brother.) THe responsibility was terrible for a ten year old. I'd come down the stairs and hug my mother and apologize for killing her.

This just seemed to fit in with your post. But maybe not; maybe I just had a need to confess that I sacrificed my brother a lot.
