This just seemed to fit in with your post. But maybe not; maybe I just had a need to confess that I sacrificed my brother a lot.

My dear, this is probably in actuality a natural outgrowth of not being able to occasionally beat up your brother. A kind of catharthis to make up. I was able to beat the bejeezus out of my little brother from time to time, thus I never felt the need to engage in the fantasy of gutting the little twirp as an offering to Quetzalcoatl. Perfectly understandable.

I would have sold either of my "sisters" for a hernia. I think it's fun to put a "real imaginary" price on things. I think it started for me when friends of mine used to get hired by their moms to take youngers in their family to concerts. One of them got paid something like 25 1971 dollars to take two to Bobby Sherman or something.

This started quite a realistic round of discussion, as we could all use 25.00 for tickets to Hendrix and Iron Butterfly or dope or something. Heck that was an ounce at the time. This discussion was interspersed with narration of what the "concert" was like. Even though the minimum wage was maybe 2.65 an hour and some of us probably made 4.00, we all agreed 25.00 was not enough. Really. I think the absolute minimum willingness was 45 to 50.00. Mine was 75.00 I think. To be exposed to that kind of experience. I just don't have time or space in my harddrive to lease for that kind of terror. Washing dishes is one thing, but hell is another. Especially teen and pre-teenage girl hell.

He was hired several more times, even outside his family, and the price was higher. Heck, he was missing nights of Derek and the Dominoes and CSNY.

So sometimes now I use the procedure to learn about stuff I want or don't want.
