For those who followed my CPQ direct sales dilemma... My brand new fully loaded Presario 1810 notebook arrived Friday, about 5 days ahead of promised. Man, what a machine it is!

dog,
Generally earnings reports also feature some upbeat announcements about new products or some surprise/promise for the upcoming quarter.

Have you heard anything that might be substantial?

Also, some time ago it was said that CPQ would have more difficulty doing layoffs in Europe than was expected because of European politics/laws - is this true?

Franz

Thanks Rude, for the info on notebooks. My LTE/25E recently bit the dust. Unlike desktops, we tend to keep notebooks for as long as they run. I had a Dell Latitude in which I had to replace the hard drive 3 times, so that left a rather bad taste in my mouth. In this case I might be best to try the Presario and see.

Good Luck (to all of us) this week.
Stuart.
