Dude, go back to your narrow minded little world. Do you know how foolish you sound? I won't even touch on most of your last piece, but

>>not ok to show lack of responsibility in the harvest of what wild species we do take.

Did I ever once say I wasted one single bit of the fish? Again, did you EVER throw away ANY table scraps?

To set your mind at ease, even the guts were saved on most occasions. You see, a neighbor down the road used it for trapping bait! And what ever we left I'm sure the coons got a free meal out of it.

>>Americans didn't have the wherewithall to destroy the environment and they took care not to drive species to extinction. Thus their methods of fishing were irrelevant.

So you're saying that it's okay for you to drive your car to and from work, or use your ski jet in the water, but it's not okay for me to kill a fish for dinner?

And, just to give you a little clue as to how far off base you are, where I come from the creeks are shale based. That means no gravel. That means no eggs would hatch. Therefor, the spawn is in vain. The fish would die and the eggs would be eaten by lake run trout. End of story.

>>It's rather silly to try to pretend that we with our teeming millions could depend on wild species as they did.

Those teeming millions you speak of do not all live in cities. Figured it out yet? Or is there more?
