Paul - RE: "Because MOST PEOPLE are rational, thoughtful and intelligent."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You are soooo funny Paul. Seriously. You oughta start your own gig.

The people on this thread fit your description, but AMERICA as a whole doesn't. Have you ever listened to a common person at a computer store? Have you seen the Furby and Elmo craze???

RE: "Just as I know that cirruslvr is Shawn J."

But you didn't find that out because of the fallcy of "existing privacy" on the Internet, as you put it. You found out because someone posted it.

Paul,

Re: PIII ID issue.

Paul, do you know if the ID can be switched off permanently.
Either as a BIOS, or a bond option.

Surely, Intel could market 2 options and let the customers decide.

I suspect that short term this will be negative but agree that long term, Intel could come out positively if they give the customers the choice of permanently not having the feature.

This would seem to be the smart thing to do and Intel generally does the smart thing IMHO.

Regards,

Kash
