Of course, we have a great advantage over Marx -- we say Lenin and Stalin and the other's screw it up royally. Mere verbal argument never convinces the dreamer or madman. We want experience -- "A wise man learns from his experience; it takes a genius to learn from other people's experience." (A. Einstein). And we also saw what tempered, stabilized capitalism (thanks FDR and Lord Keynes) could do to build prosperous lives, and improvements in that could even fix defects in the welfare, full-employment state.

LRR:

"The creation of wealth appears to be inherently inequitable."

It is inequitable as it should be. Not all are creators, innovators or even good businesspeople.

All men are created equal but do not have equal abilities.
