It doesn't matter Brady. We all know that he has posted nearly as much as I have. Sure we can be charitable and say maybe not as much as I have. But even so, no matter how you look at it, he's way up there on number of posts. No doubt about this.

But to make matters worse, he then tries to belittle, inaccurately, of course, the amount of my Zulu investment. What right has he to do that? And then in his next breath he goes on to talk about personal attacks. Personal? Hey, what's more personal than someone's account? I've been somewhat open about this in the past, but it doesn't mean I make a daily practice of it. So who is Jon Tara to be making these kinds of assumptions?

And, through history, if you add Aleta's antagonism to Jon Tara's antagonism, it's no wonder I post so much.

I kind of like the click idea 'cause like a screen saver, it's a time saver! He had 48 posts yesterday, huh? And Aleta said he only posts three times a day? I love objectivity, don't you folks?

Speaking of calculations...

From the adnet-l@egroups.com discusson group.

These two companies are currently trading at a market-cap that is 25-times trailing gross revenues. Maybe we should send HIGHPLANESDRIFTER over to their threads.

========

DoubleClick reports:

TOTAL 1998:
$80.2 million revenue minus
$98.4 million expenses =
($18.2 million) LOSS 1998

TOTAL 1997:
$30.6 million revenue minus
$39.0 million expenses =
($8.4 million) LOSS 1997

Oct-Nov-Dec 98: $29.1 million minus
$33.5 million expenses =
($4.4 million) LOSS Q4'98

Jul-Aug-Sep 98: $20.8 million minus
$ 25.5 million expenses =
($4.7 million) LOSS Q3'98

====

24/7 Media reports:

July-Aug-Sep 98:
$5.5 million revenue minus
$11.3 million expenses =
($5.8 million) LOSS Q3'98

Apr-May-Jun 98:
$4.2 million revenue minus
$9.4 million expenses =
($5.2 million) LOSS Q2'98

Jan-Feb-Mar 98:
$2.4 million revenue minus
$6.4 million expenses =
($4.0 million) LOSS Q1'98

======

For some mind-boggling perspective, the companies' market capitalization (gross "value" based on its stock price) as of the close of the market on January 22 is:

DoubleClick: $1,932 million (19.13 million shares @ $101.00) --
Valuation is currently 24x 1998 revenues [$1,932 / $80.2 = 24.09]

24/7 Media: $534 million (15.48 million shares @ $34.50) --
Valuation is currently 26x 1998 revenues [$534 / $20 = 26.7]
[assuming an increase to $8 million revenue in Q4'98]

Further more.....a great many of the posts that PT has made since I have been reading this thread have been "informational" posts. That is to say, posts of articles related either to Zulu or the "industries" in general that Zulu has been or will be involved in. IMO any reasonable comparison should include more than just the number of posts.

Yesterday's postings reminded me of the very first time I ever posted to anyone on SI. It was a PM to Jon Tara. Fool that I was at the time, I tried to convince him that what he was calling personal attacks were not that at all. I learned back then that Jon has a strange way of defining personal attacks against himself especially, as opposed to what he considers personal attacks by himself on others. Just read through all his accusations yesterday of "personal attacks" and you might realize that each of his accusations are in themself personal attacks - at least by his definition - against someone else.

I find it all quite amazing, and somewhat amusing, the way he came back like "gangbusters" thinking the "Zulu longs" would just let him fire away without speaking out. Then when they did, it was personal attack time. And when they didn't, e.g., "click", he claimed that they were not willing to debate the issues. Actually, it appeared to me that they simply did not want to play his game!

No Jon, this is NOT a personal attack. It is my personal "observation" of what went on yesterday.
