Nevyn - I guess I didn't have to wait too long to find design wins for Neo's new 3d chip. I found one already today in the new Presarios from Compaq. compaq.com

There is a spring refresh for notebooks. It is happening today with a oodles of new notebook announcements from the major players. These announcements pegged to correspond with Intel's release of their new mobile processors. I suspect that Neo will wait for the earnings release to list the design wins with it's new 3d enhanced chip. Some of the new notebooks are mentioned in this article: news.com

ATI's does not have a embedded solution, they have an "integrated" one where they have pasted discrete graphics memory into the same package as the graphics chip. It's really like a miniature graphics board. I believe they are offering it at a reasonable price. Discounting repackaged old technology is common in this industry. Will the notebook manufacturers bite? I still don't know. In all the announcements I've reviewed today I've seen one for Neo's new 3d part but none yet for ATI's mobility line.

Meanwhile, there's a sale going on in Neo stock. Two for the price of one - good for a few days only!!
