Hi Paul

>>I measured the Addtronics 6890A case as having an overall MB mounting depth of about 14.5" with the corner near the drive bay overhang having a depth of 9.25".<<

Thanks for taking the case measurements!

>>The larger ASUS P2B -L -S motherboards are listed with at 10.55" depth, but notice they have the corner cut-out to avoid the bracket problem.<<

>>.... with the corner near the drive bay overhang having a depth of 9.25".<<

To make sure I understand what you're saying: If the ASUS MoBo has a depth of 10.55" with about 1" cut out you'd have approx 9.55" so there would be approx .5" (9.55" - 9.25") of the MoBo that would be setting under (behind) the drive bay. Is that how you see it?

>>I am also considering the new Abit AX6-2 after reading about it on friday.. I see it's released on Feb 1st but I wonder when it reaches dealers.<<

FWIW - I've been told by builder that in general, they've found the ASUS MoBo's to be more stable than the ABIT boards.

>>ASUS says Computer Shopper awarded the ASUS P2B motherboard the 'Best Buy of the Year' award for 1998.<< I saw that.

>>ASUS responded about the slow web site, they said it was due to mirroring of other sites and downloading of latest BIOS updates.<<

Wow, they responded to your email. I wonder what I'm doing wrong, they still haven't responded to my messages.

>>Did PCNUT really quote a combo price for an ASUS MB and overclocked 300A? I thought they only did overclocking on the ABIT boards because they have easy softmenu setup.<<

See below and thanks again for the measurements.
